Many groups in the community enjoy the opportunity to explore the fascinating field of plastic and cosmetic surgery. From aesthetic concerns and aspects of beauty, to injury and cancer, these lectures have been popular in the business community, educational institutions and the general public. Women's groups, church groups, and businesses have used these presentations to educate and inform their members and/or employees. Many of the presentations can easily be incorporated into larger programs such as health fairs, employee-targeted events, cancer screenings, etc.
Unless otherwise requested, each seminar will consist of a 45-60 minute presentation, including 35mm slides, followed by a question and answer session. If your organization or group has a topic of special interest not listed below, Dr. Desman would be happy to consider your request.

Body Contouring Options
A look at the state-of-the-art of liposuction, breast augmentation (enlargement), abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and other contouring options for enhancing your figure. This seminar focuses specifically on cosmetic options for the torso, arms and legs. Due to time restraints, this presentation does not address facial cosmetic surgery. A separate seminar entitled "New Advances in Facial Rejuvenation" is available.

Breast Cancer and Reconstruction Options
Diagnosis of breast cancer affects women physically and emotionally. This presentation will discuss options for breast reconstruction that help improve confidence and self-esteem after mastectomy. Improvements in post-surgical therapies, including several breast reconstruction options, help allay the fear of disfigurement from mastectomy.
