Breast Implants Virginia

breast implants virginia

Every year, thousands of women receive breast implants and many of them do so for cosmetic reasons. Breast enhancement is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breast. During surgery, the doctor creates an incision and then inserts a breast implant directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. By inserting an implant behind each breast, doctors are able to increase the breasts by one or more cup sizes. After undergoing surgery, the breasts appear fuller and more natural in tone and contour. Most women that have received breast implants have found it easier to find clothing that fit them well, and they feel more confident about their appearance. Breast enhancement is one of the many breast surgery procedures performed by Dr. Desman at the Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery.

A breast implant is a silicone shell filled with either silicone gel or a salt-water solution known as saline. Currently FDA allows saline filled implants to be used for breast augmentation, while silicone gel filled implants are only available to women in certain cases. If you have questions about the different types of breast implants available, please contact the Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery.

At the Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery, Dr. Desman performs various cosmetic plastic surgery procedures including breast augmentation, breast lift, liposuction, tummy tuck and others.
